Temp Mail Generator provides free, ephemeral, disposable email address services designed to protect your personal identity, prevent spam, and maintain primary inbox privacy.

AGE REQUIREMENT NOTICE: Temp Mail Generator is strictly designed and intended for use by adults aged 18 years old and older. We do not knowingly offer services to or collect data from individuals under the age of 18.

2. Information We Collect and How We Collect It

We adhere to data minimization principles. We do not require you to create a personal user account, log in with social credentials, or provide your real name, physical address, or personal phone number to use Temp Mail Generator.

A. Data Collected directly for App Functionality

• Temporary Email Addresses & Messages: When you generate disposable email addresses, our App communicates with the Guerrilla Mail backend API to retrieve generated inbox identifiers and incoming emails (including sender address, subject lines, message body, and timestamps).
• Local Storage: Retrieved temporary emails and generated address tokens are stored locally on your device using an encrypted local SQLite database (AndroidX Room Database).
• App Preferences: Your configuration settings—such as light/dark mode appearance preferences and push notification toggles—are stored locally on your device via AndroidX DataStore.

B. Data Collected Automatically via Third-Party SDKs

• Device Identifiers & Advertising ID (GAID): Our App integrates Google AdMob, which automatically accesses your Google Advertising ID (GAID) and standard system identifiers to deliver, measure, and audit advertisements.
• Network & Technical Information: Standard connection metadata, including IP addresses, network state, device make/model, operating system version, and general regional location, may be processed during HTTPS network requests by our network libraries (Retrofit/OkHttp) and advertising partners.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the collected information exclusively for the following operational and functional purposes:

1. Core App Functionality: To generate disposable email addresses, poll for incoming messages, display plain-text email contents, and allow switching between session addresses.
2. Ad Serving & Personalization: To serve banner, interstitial, rewarded, native, and app-open advertisements that support our free service via Google AdMob.
3. Privacy Consent Management: To present region-specific privacy disclosure and consent dialogs (EEA/UK/US) via the Google User Messaging Platform (UMP) SDK.
4. App Security & Fraud Prevention: To detect malicious traffic, prevent API abuse, ensure server stability, and comply with ad network anti-fraud policies.

5. Data Retention & Account Deletion

A. Data Retention Policy

• Local Device Storage: All temporary email addresses and email contents displayed in the App are saved locally on your device. We do not maintain off-device cloud profiles of your inbox contents.
• 181-Day Inactivity Deactivation: To ensure system efficiency, temporary email addresses that have not received a new email message within 181 days are automatically deactivated by the application.

B. User-Initiated Data Deletion (Account & Data Deletion Compliance)

Because Temp Mail Generator does not use account registration or remote cloud accounts, you have full direct control over deleting your data:

1. In-App Deletion ("Clear History"): You can navigate to the Manage Addresses screen in the App and tap Clear History at any time. This permanently deletes all stored temporary addresses and inbox messages from your local device storage.
2. Individual Email Deletion: You can manually delete any individual email message directly from the inbox view.
3. Android Storage Reset: You can clear all application data, cache, and database state at any time via your device settings:
   Settings -> Apps -> Temp Mail Generator -> Storage -> Clear Data / Clear Storage.

6. Android Permissions Requested

Temp Mail Generator requests minimal permissions required for network operation:

• android.permission.INTERNET: Allows the App to establish secure HTTPS connections to fetch emails from the email API and download ad content.
• android.permission.ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE: Allows the App to inspect network connectivity status to prevent failed network calls when offline.
• com.google.android.gms.permission.AD_ID: Allows Google Mobile Ads SDK to access the device advertising identifier for ad delivery and attribution.

7. Children's Privacy (COPPA & Regulatory Compliance)

Temp Mail Generator is restricted strictly to users 18 years old and older. We do not direct our application to children under the age of 13 (or under 18), nor do we knowingly collect or solicit personal information from minors.

If we learn that we have inadvertently collected personal data from a child under the age of 18, we will take immediate steps to delete such information from our local app storage. If you believe a minor has accessed the application, please contact us immediately.
